Season finales that sucked this year

Gossip Girl - The frustrating cliff hanger before the Christmas break has made everything that happened since lose any dramatic effect. Although at least Gossip Girl went for another tact in setting up a lot of interesting storylines that I'm (pathetically) looking forward to.

90210 - I'll see how the beginning of next season goes, but I'll probably give up watching.

Grey Anatomy - Hmmm. Not much to say about this one, it felt like the set up of season finale. It isn't completely terrible, the very effecting storyline about the one survivor of a plane crash was brilliant. Christina and Owen (finally) kind of breaking up was good. And hell yes Alex isn't Chief Resident. But wtf is going on with Little Grey. Give her a damn storyline and with someone she has chemistry with not the lovely, yet boring Avery. It really felt like a normal episode.

It seems the running theme of ALL the season finales this year is to not do anything dramatic. No full resolutions of plots and no crazy cliffhangers.

Now I shall start watching the Glee finale. Yes, I only watch trashy television. And yes, I am genuinely excited for this. I almost don't want to watch it. Here's hoping Quinn starts bitch slapping people again.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Everything that everyone expected would be wrong with this film was proved right. It's still POTC, it's still a watchable romp, however the main problem is a boring mid-section that finds you looking at your watch every five minutes.

I didn't read any reviews before seeing it, mainly not to put myself off, but changes in Jack Sparrow and a convoluted script manage to suck the life out of this (formerly) trashy and bombastic franchise.

Shame, because Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp's chemistry almost set the screen on fire.
